GROWING MEMBERSHIP FOR GM HOLDEN LTD TRADE CLUBS

 

GM Holden aftersales trade clubs have a great track record, and are popular with participating dealers and independents.

CHALLENGE

GM Holden wanted to run an promotional campaign that would boost sales over and above their usual organic growth, and encourage existing members to make Holden Trade Club first choice, every time.

SOLUTION

We designed and delivered the ‘Switch & Win’ incentive, rewarding Trade Club customers for increasing spend by ordering items that they would normally purchase elsewhere. The multimedia launch included direct mail, email, website landing pages and a prominent feature in one of Australia’s popular trade publications. Prizes were high-value vouchers for top brand SP Tools, perfect for the demographic.

RESULTS

As well as growing sales by encouraging members to switch suppliers, the incentive reactivated a significant proportion of dormant and inactive members. And as the incentive ran over five months, GM Holden had encouraged members to adopt and sustain new buying habits, positively affecting future revenue beyond the promotional period.
